Bio

Hi! My second FAWM. Name is David Espinoza
Still writing and recording acoustic pop diddies, that is what I'll be doing here in Feb.. Also still playing in a grunge-prog band.

I plan on staying within one style/sound. I do not plan on completing 14.5 songs, but you never know......

had to go out of town for a week, and I've been getting ready for a band gig, so not much fawming last couple weeks.
thanks for listening

I have lyrics, yours for the taking if anything sings to you!
  • theshyretirer 2 months ago
Hey man, I'm sorry for not being able to e-mail or respond lately. Turns out I have more on my plate than I realized so I won't be able to collab with you unfortunately. sad Apologies for wasting your time.
  •  frenchcricket 3 months ago
I did wonder... but it is good to have the diagnosis confirmed by a medical professional... How long do I have? sad
  • theawkwardsleep 3 months ago
I would love to normally, but I think we'll be in Milwaukee that night...but maybe in march sometime we could meet up for sure.
  •  chasingandromeda 3 months ago
    And I, as well. smile
  •  dasbinky 3 months ago
I wouldn't count on being able to bike to FAWMStock, sadly. Most of the locations that meet the needs we're looking for are pretty far out. Dodgeville is the frontrunner now, unless we can find something on campus.
  •  gslade 3 months ago
Dude.. quite the compliment on "Broken Family".. Must say I'm surprised at how much it can effect someone else, just listening.. thanks.. and good luck the rest of feb

  • kiwafruit 3 months ago
Hey there, thanks for the comment love on "Midnight Rain" smile
I'm playing a lot with the dim/sus/6ths chords at the moment, they're so much fun! I'm hoping I'll be able to repeat the vocal style on this if I perform it live, but I'm really not sure I can >.<
  • johnnycashpoint 3 months ago
Only "slightly" clever? smile Why, I oughtta .... Thanks for the comment. Yeah I spent a lot of time burying my usual snarkiness to write something heartfelt but can't keep a good snark all the way down!
  • theawkwardsleep 3 months ago
done! let me know what you think. its the catchiest song ever. i think we should do more together...since we live in the same town and all wink -rupa
  • theodamus 3 months ago
Thank you! Unfortunately my hair is no longer bright pink... it's more bright ginger. Which is about as outlandish as you can go while still looking "professional".
  • theawkwardsleep 3 months ago
i love it! I'll try to finish it up quick. For a first attempt on fruity loops in forever, its really good. I won't change anything with the music, its great david! very catchy!

I just read your question about which ukulele to buy. I have played uke for 65 years and still it is the instrument I really love along with harp, flute, guitars and whistles. I recently bought a very fine LANIKAI CURLY KOA BARITONE- for$289 During the past 20 years it would have been 6-to $800. If your not sure how much interest you have, still get one that you have someone else play for you to hear. Check that all the octave notes high up the neck are in tune and that your fingers feel comfortable making a diminished chord or and F chord on a baritone. Get a chord book before you select one and play some of the hardest looking chords. I love the baritone where there is plently room for hands and fingers. Here on FAWM on my page, I play the few songs I have up on my baritone. Hope that helps a little ..If you want more, ask away. During most of my whole life long , it seemed no one played but me. Bye for now, Annie

Acoustic and/or electric guitar would be fine. You're free to be as creative or restrained as you want to be. smile

Thank you for your nice comment! I remember our collab in 50/90 and enjoyed it a lot! Whenever you like and when you can afford the time, please, just feel free to drop by...
    Greetings!
  • theawkwardsleep 3 months ago
Yes, we could actually meet since we do live in the same place ha maybe next week? or else, you could use drop box and send me the links to each file and i can use fruity loops to add to it and such... whatever works, although i hear you about the time factor. (but we really should meet anyhow, after fawm---get some drinks to celebrate...)
  • theawkwardsleep 3 months ago
we have ableton live and fruity loops...fruity loops was the first thing i ever learned to use, so its my comfort zone due to that. thanks for the nice words...i was pretty happy with it. i'll listen to yours now....get me that track!

Thanks for the comment on "Nobody". I hadn't thought of Warren Zevon explicitly but he is one more person with an approach to songwriting that I admire.
