I'm an Ango-Dutch Londoner now living in Ireland. I've been in various unknown bands but am going solo these days.

I'm keen to do my 2nd FAWM, but am just about to launch a website and have very little free time ... so I thought I'd try collaborating this year, just doing vocals and lyrics.

Wow! Thanks a ton for such kind kind words! I'm pretty awful and recording myself but I have been in a studio with people who know what they're doing.

I had to give all my songs the heart, as there's only 3 of them! And they're all hearted for different reasons ... one collab, one duet, and one on me own.

Cat...I had to come back and say to you, regarding your vocals on Deep Immersia; they are absolutely beautiful and haunting.This is now one of my all time favorite ballads that I've written/recorded. I really do look forward to us doing more in the future. Thanks again.

Thanks so much for your comments on Everything Changes! Yes, I played and sang at the same time, hence the vocal clipping going on. It was composed/recorded fairly last minute, and I wasn't sure whether to be happy with it or not. So thanks for the encouragement!

And Ireland is my favourite place on earth. Wish I was there!

Hey! Sorry we didn't get to collab this year but I lost a few weekends and didn't get to record very many instrumental tracks at all... hopefully next FAWM or 50/90?

I am glad you got to record with CTS; that dude has some crazy rhythm and a soulful voice to match.

Well, rather a dismal result for me this year in terms of songs written, but I'm quite happy with the couple I did come up with, and really enjoyed the collaboration with the legendary cts.

Now I hope I'll have some time soon to listen and comment on all the amazing tracks on the site ... looking forward to that!

PS It was out of tune? That always happens when I use the acoustic... I can't actually fingerpick either, so what you're hearing there is a combination of takes strung together. I'm not sure why I record demos with the acoustic, haha. Despite the fact I write almost all my material on it...

Not at all! Took time off work. I've had years of recording demos, so I work pretty quickly, and I'm generally prolific... but even I'm surprised how quickly stuff came together this time around!

I'm not going to join in this year but will be hanging about to check out a few people. I'm recording an album with a friend at the moment and want to concentrate on that. February snuck up this year! I might stick up one or two. Besides, I can only write prolifically when Im miserable and I'm pretty contented at the mo... Dan xx

Thanks for your feedback Cat! Between you and me (and anyone who reads this), I don't quite understand the plasticine bowl line very well either. I blurted it out while writing the song and it stuck with me. It just fits somehow on a subconscious level that I can't fully grasp. Plus it has a nice ring to it.
