Hi, thanks for your comment, yes i know Sea Change, I’ve been a massive Beck fan from Mellow Gold right up to his latest Colors, which if you haven’t heard yet is a terrific album BTW.

Just letting you know that I’m in the process of working out a fiddle arrangement for your tune Careless Wave. Hopefully will have it ready tomorrow!

Hey, thanks for your comment 😉 I've done the vocal reverb with Reaverb, a plug-in in the Reaper DAW.

Thank you for your comment. I love his live albums the most
Usually I go to Nighthawks at the Diner but I also tend to turn to Asylum Years alot. How about you?

  • @mikeskliar  Feb 7

thanks for the listen! I only do open tuning sometimes- I find I used open D more then open G. (I do use open G with a lap-style dobro resonator that I have, tho)

Thanks for your lovely comments on my waltz. Glad it brought you some joy 😀

Thank you for your feedback on “Josh Weed”. I found it interesting that you compared it to an epitaph on a headstone.

There have been too many of those for me in my personal life recently. I’ve lost several friends and family members in the last year and maybe it has affected my creative process. Thank you for pointing that feeling out to me.

I am so totally in love with your sound. I am impressed with the caliber of so many new to FAWM this year. Wow!

  • @colgoo  Feb 7

Welcome to FAWM! Love your music. Keep up the great work.

Hey homie! Thanks so much for listening and the support - I haven't been using metronome this year just due to times sake. So im very grateful that you thought it might have been used. I'll keep following you! Excited to hear 😀

Sorry mate i missed your question on my instrument. It is a custom made tenor ukulele. It is made in a small town in Minnesota by a company called Bonanza. It is called an Amoeba shape. It is a fantastic uke- very loud and easy to play. - makes it easy for these ol hands to write and play songs.

You asked about me double tracking the vocals. That track, like most of my Multi-track stuff was recorded on the amazing Boss BR-80 an eight track portable recorder (with an on board Multi-Effects Processor for the voice or for guitars and a drum machine) that can fit in the palm of your hand. It is a great handy tool for practising as well as recording. And it didn't break the bank.

No high tech solutions were applied on that vocal doubling, I simply sang the song through twice and panned one track over to the left and the other to the right. 😀
