FAWM 2007 made me a songwriter, and since then I've been addicted.
All compositions from previous years are posted to my website:

As for FAWM2012, it's a busy month and I'm having trouble imagining how I will pull off the challenge this year, but it always seems to turn out so let's see what happens!
Also, just a warning to those accustomed to my more conventional work in FAWMs past - I fully acknowledge I am getting into some pretty weird shite this FAWM. I'm not trying to be avant-garde or anything, just really interested in exploring new directions. Actually, I think I can trace the inspiration all the way back to the 50/90 challenge of 2007 when songwriters like @wille (and many others) intrigued me with the dramatic time/tempo/signature changes they were able to pull off with such interesting effects. At the time I didn't fully get it, and I suppose I still don't to their level, but now I really feel like exploring it.
I've just realized I don't really add much to the trad singer/songwriter genre and am just following this strange muse to see how far it takes me. No offense if none of this appeals to you, I get it!
==== Standard Bio Stuff Follows ====
So first, the AquaMunkee explanation - I'm psychotic about scuba diving, and when I started in 2005 I dove so much everyone called me "AquaMan." Then I got involved in a silly time-wasting game called Monkey Fight (www.gtfbtw.org I think?) and called my character "AquaMunkee" and the name stuck.
I've since made a logo (the icon used on FAWM) and based two home business endeavors off the name - AquaMunkee Studios and AquaMunkee Scuba. As the business names imply I am a home studio owner and also a PADI Scuba Instructor.
I look forward to reconnecting with my songwriting friends from previous years and also meeting more this year. I play guitar and dabble with keyboards, bass, and drums.
