No worries on the collab Josh, I've got plenty of lyrics that are in the same boat. I'd rather have them sit until inspiration strikes, then to just throw something together. As long as the lyrics go unclaimed, feel free to pick and choose.

I also love a good bridge and I'm totally sympathetic to the struggle. I know Patty Griffin's music, I'll have to check out the CDs I already own and see how she does it.
For me, it seems to come up as an afterthought (like, I guess I need a bridge on this one...) and then I think about it and think about it and think about it and then just stick something in. I can usually get some words that work but the music is my sticking point. Something to work on.

Thanks, Josh! Regarding the waltz thing, it was my fault. I mistakenly labeled it a waltz because when I started writing it it was and slowly changed to 4/4. Looking forward to your songs.

Thanks a lot - the percussion is a few altered drum machine samples [eq, bit crush etc] run through a plugin that simulates old vinyl.

Hey man, no worries - just listening and it was definitely that one. So quiet, intricate, simple and subtle - but brilliant! I still don't think the "don't talk to loud" should have reverb, I think I said that at the time
