My name is Matt Alba and this is my 5th year participating in FAWM. In years past, I have been really pleased with the music I've created personally and the inspiring words of other participants. I am an independent musician and songwriter. I began writing songs and poetry as a teenager and began playing guitar shortly after. I've released one solo album ("In Spite of the Crows") and one album as a member of The Gutsy Tumbler Band("Vividness of a Dream"). I spend most of my time playing in Wisconsin but have had a few shows in Illinois, California and Turkey. Music, for me, has always been about the fun. I love the feeling of finding the perfect words or hitting a favorite chord. Its always great to play music with friends too. This year I hope to participate in more collaborations. I look forward to chatting with old fawm friends and meeting new ones.

This year I will be taking a week long trip to Honduras starting on the 16th. Should be back with some great material.
