    Remember what?

  • @riverbear14 Mar 30

You did so many and I still have not heard them all. I had a great time with this. I will do it next year too. if I can remember it.

  • @crisp1  Mar 16

Thanks for the really nice comment about What Youth Is For. I don't usually write punk-y lyrics but you've got to go where the inspiration takes you...

  • @metalfoot  Mar 16

Thanks for stopping by for a couple listens! Glad you enjoyed. πŸ˜€

  • @ustaknow Mar 16

Hey, -- thank you for the comment, feedback at this late date! πŸ˜€ Wow, the folks who hang into March are a great cross section, fun.

  • @andygetch  Mar 16

hey, hey adnamak, thanks for the comments and congrats on a return to yoga, go easy πŸ˜€

  • @barbara  Mar 16

    (re: "winter here")
    Bonus points for you!!!
I cannot seem to write a non-ambivalent love song to save my life. "Hey, kids! Can you find the hidden back-peddling in this lyric?"
I wish I could shake it, really.

EDIT: I mean, it does work as a positive too, in the since that who doesn't like to be cozy and cocooned with their person? But yeah, wintering sounds like laying over, pretty temporary, right?

    Bathrooms do showers

  • @ballyhoot  Mar 1

Thanks for commenting on my song "Write This Song." Re-tuned the guitar a day later and it sounds much better. Congratulations on reaching 17 this year!

  • @ampersandman  Mar 1

Thank you again for contributing vocals to "Charlie". I pitch corrected some lines to make the harmonies work well together, if you don't mind. I think it turned out pretty good.

  • @riverbear14 Feb 28

We have a bathroom. That is all. three days..

  • @ampersandman  Feb 27

Thanks so much once more for your wonderful comment. When something in my songs speaks to you, it means a lot to me to hear that. It's crazy how we seem to connect through music, right?
Apologies that I haven't updated "Charlie" yet, the FAWM clock is ticking and I want to finish one more song first, being as far behind as I am.

  • @standup  Feb 27

Thanks for listening to Nebula 318. Also no waves in space, but these are mere quibbles!

  • @cynthiawolff  Feb 27

Thanks so much for your comment on jazz tunes and you picturing the rain...
Well good on you! Cause I had a few rain lines in there and they didn't quite work..
Roddy is a genius player...I just had to do something with him..jazz is really cool

  • @scubed  Feb 27

Thank you so much for your lovely comment on "Cailleach Beara"! πŸ˜€ I would not have known of her without Donna's Pantheon challenge, but she's my new favorite goddess, too.

  • @riverbear14 Feb 27

No, not the Roger song, the one you liked and I did not write music for... I cannot remember right!

  • @riverbear14 Feb 27

Thank you so much!! I see you have new songs. We have a plumbing problem right now...but I will get back to this

  • @sherrycanary  Feb 27

    Hi Amanda.
Glad you liked Turn the Page.
was a skirmish, so I didn't realize it was worth a demo till I read it later. I wrote a song called Tabula Rasa some years ago. We could use it today.
And yes, scat is all that πŸ˜€

  • @darcistrutt  Feb 27

All five of our "kids" are over 30. How did that happen! 😜

  • @barbara  Feb 26

Go, me!!! (Thank you for noticing.)
    And for you? Anything cooking?

  • @riverbear14 Feb 26

If you want to write music for that song..please feel free... I have no worries with it

  • @barbara  Feb 25

    Good morning!! Happy weekend!!!!!!!

  • @ihelen  Feb 24

Thank you for commenting on my Cryptogram song - hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  • @ferry0123 Feb 24

Thanks very much for your thoughts about 'weathervane movements'. Much appreciated!

  • @riverbear14 Feb 24

I have figured out the Wraith voice on Stargate Atlantis.. lol! Thank you! I have a ton of tricks over here...

  • @izaakalexander  Feb 24

πŸ˜€ I've got one waiting on a trombone solo (i.e. wake up the whole house loud) and one waiting on a tricky bit of lyric writing (never finish the backing track before the lyrics are done, grr... ) and of course there's the one with your lyrics, I haven't posted yet. I'm not so far behind πŸ˜€. Should I wait for @tcelliott to finish his version, or just go ahead and post "Chains" ??

  • @barbara  Feb 23

  • @riverbear14 Feb 23

    Lol!!! well, I had some

  • @aprilm Feb 20

Thanks for checking out Where the Wind Blows - some of my songs are personal and some are just reflections of common lived experience. This one is personal πŸ˜€

  • @ihelen  Feb 20

Thanks for commenting on my Takeover song. Since you were wondering - I made up the name of that club based on what I've observed. πŸ˜‰

  • @julesbf  Feb 20

Thank you for your lovely comments on Waterfall. I am always nervous about whether anyone will understand what I am trying to portray or indeed whether it will be seen in a positive light (as it is my intention to inform, and not add to the stigma). Your comments make the effort all worthwhile.

  • @ampersandman  Feb 20

    Hi Amanda,
thanks a lot for your nice comment on "Charlie". I'd be stoked if you tried some vocals!

  • @candle Feb 15

Sorry for the late reply, but thank you so much for your kind comments regarding Ecstasy. As I said in the liner notes, it's a very personal song & I'm always amazed at the positive reception it gets.

    See You In The Shadows…

  • @riverbear14 Feb 2017

    Oh my eyeeeeeessssssss!

  • @distantmtns Feb 2017

Thanks for your kind thoughts on "Crude Life." I appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment.

  • @ajna1960  Feb 2017

Go Amandas ! How do you like to work ? Would you like me to simply write some rough draft lyrics and send them on over to you ? Let me know πŸ˜€ I can work in almost any way that suits you πŸ˜€
    SlΓ‘inte !

  • @tsunamidaily Feb 2017

thanks for commenting on "nothing can't be taken away." i ended up demoing it, and it isn't near as gloomy as it might first appear....

  • @rainchaser  Feb 2017

Thanks for your kind feedback on "And So I Joined". Yeah I tried to no longer spend an hour on the recording. Once one hour has gone, I try to finish the process faster by limiting the takes/arrangement. For mixing, I tried to stay no longer than 30 minutes on it, though sometimes I tend to go overboard with tweaking one plugin, and I'm going to soon fix that. I never thought the music actually went with the story of the lyrics in a sense of madrigalism. But I'm glad you thought of that because, I've always wanted to implemented madrigalism in one of my songs, I just didn't how to start it off! lol

  • @ferry0123 Feb 2017

Thanks for your advice on my third, I like that idea.

  • @timfatchen  Feb 2017

Sssshhhh! Insomnia or not, Don't Mention The Worms!

  • @standup  Feb 2017

Thanks for listening to Pendulum. Some wacky panning on the chorus is a very good idea....

  • @sph  Feb 2017

Yes, just playing around is super fun.

  • @toms  Feb 2017

145 BPM - the old Ludwig kit. πŸ˜€ Would you like multi or single file? Here's the single:

  • @riverbear14 Feb 2017

I could take that outtro and lengthen it just for you if you want.. I think I can. I think I can.

  • @tsunamidaily Feb 2017

thanks for commenting on "just blocked myself."

  • @riverbear14 Feb 2017

You know I wrote a science fiction book and now writing two more... I have a cd..a two cd set for the book.

  • @riverbear14 Feb 2017

Thank you! I am behind in listening here... been creating.. I will be back

  • @tcelliott  Feb 2017

Lyric topic. How about chains? Just throwing it out there.

  • @izaakalexander  Feb 2017

Hey Amanda! I'm up for a collab, if you have some lyrics or a simple song demo I could put my arranging skills to work on in.

  • @mosley  Feb 2017

I'm totally down to try an unplugged thing if you want!

  • @rops  Feb 2017

Thanks for the comment on Rock And Roll Soul! It was definitely fun. Playing for sanity and amusement is what it's all about.

  • @riverbear14 Feb 2017

Thank you! I have Reverbnation and it works, I think, but not as good as soundcloud.. hmm

  • @tcelliott  Feb 2017

I think I'm changing that line in "cold" to the one you suggested. It actually occurred to me to reverse it in mixing but I promptly ignored anything requiring more work. But you're entirely correct. Thanks for the listen.

  • @tiller2  Feb 2017

Thanks for your kind comments on my coffee addiction song. My coffee-love was sharpened recently, after I broke my old machine and bought a new chemex pour-over carafe. Fussy but delicious.

  • @riverbear14 Feb 2017

Thank you for your insight and comment on 'eyes'

  • @barbara  Feb 2017

    Not long now...!!!!

  • @andygetch  Jan 2017

How about do a collab here with a new song idea, and continue pre-Feb ideas separately?

  • @andygetch  Jan 2017

    Haha, what do you think?

  • @andygetch  Jan 2017

    Hey A17, lets do this!

  • @riverbear14 Jan 2017

Lol! it takes getting used to.. strange and somewhat disjointed..

  • @barbara  Jan 2017

    The very one! 😁
